Bright Annealed (BA) tubes undergo heat treatment in an argon or hydrogen protective atmosphere. During the high-temperature annealing process, the protective atmosphere reacts with carbon and oxygen on the tube surface to achieve surface purification and produce a metallic "bright" appearance. This process is typically combined with multi-roll cold rolling mills, achieving dimensional accuracy of ±0.05mm and internal surface roughness Ra of approximately 0.4μm.
ASTM A269 TP316L BA tubes, also known as clean tubes or high-purity gas line tubes, can achieve OD tolerance consistently within ±0.05mm, with uniform wall thickness and excellent batch-to-batch consistency. These products are compatible with Swagelok, Norgren, and other ferrule-type fittings for leak-free connections, widely used in precision instrumentation and control systems in petroleum, chemical, and semiconductor industries, as well as high-purity gas transmission pipelines.
