EP (Electro-Polished) tubes offer unique advantages in semiconductor manufacturing, biopharmaceuticals, food processing, and other industries requiring ultra-high cleanliness levels. The electro-polishing process uses electrochemical dissolution to preferentially remove microscopic protrusions on the inner surface of the tube, significantly reducing surface roughness (Ra can reach 0.2μm or even lower), minimizing the risk of particle and microbial accumulation, and greatly facilitating cleaning and sterilization operations.
EP tubes combine excellent corrosion resistance, high-temperature resistance, and a clean, aesthetically pleasing surface. Although initial procurement costs are higher than for conventional tubes, their durability and long-term corrosion resistance translate into lower maintenance frequency and extended service life in actual use, typically offering clear economic advantages on a life-cycle cost basis.
